Description
This program is designed for the student who is primarily interested in a travel and tourism concentration without the broad liberal arts background. A graduate of this program will have established a basis for a career in the travel and tourism industry, and will be qualified for at least entry-level positions in tour companies, travel agencies, tourism bureaus, cruise lines, car rental companies, and hotels. Cooperative Education provides work-based experience to expand students' learning opportunities.

1.Describe the interrelationships of travel suppliers.
2.Evaluate various cruise line companies.
3.Evaluate various group tour companies.
4.Discuss operational procedures for both domestic and international airlines.
5.Discuss security protocols for both domestic and international airlines.
6.Discuss reliable sources of information.
7.Discuss the positive and negative aspects that tourism can bring to a region or destination.
8.Demonstrate fundamental computer entries to complete an airline reservation.
