EBL 101 - Experience Based Learning

3 Credits

Experienced Based Learning is a credit bearing work-based program that allows day or evening students to work at a job related to their career interest while continuing an appropriate classroom education. An interested student is responsible for locating an employer willing to provide him/her a paid or unpaid position for one semester, fall, spring, or summer. This experience based learning option may not be repeated for credit. Three credits. Permission of Director Adult and Experiential Learning or Director Academic Services is required.

Course Learning Outcomes
1. Provide evidence of increased knowledge or skills gained at work (employer performance feed back.
2. Describe how work experience has furthered specific job based success(weekly journal.
3. Reflect upon how his/her experience furthers career objectives or future plans (reaction paper.
