AAD 105 - Typography

3 Credits

A comprehensive exploration and application of typography in graphic design. Students will study the design and use of typography from historical to contemporary perspectives, explore the relationship between type and image in visual communications, and create projects using typography as a major element of the design.

Course Learning Outcomes
1. Expand learned techniques for producing visual communications with type and images. Measurable by the quantity and quality of work within the portfolio.
2. Develop skills and proficiencies while utilizing contemporary hardware, software and peripheral devices. Measurable by notable improvement of hand, eye and mind coordination, over time.
3. Use design and technical terminology clearly. Measurable through vocabulary testing
