ENT 180 - Introduction to the Entrepreneurial Venture

The student will use a specific business model/case study to go through the stages of starting and building a new business. This process begins with recognizing an opportunity and understanding personal and financial demands. It includes analysis of products/services, management and organizational structure, marketing and selling, and financial planning and management. The process then brings all of these elements together for the preparation of a complete business plan. The student will attend class sessions, utilize course materials on the internet and participate in classroom discussions and business practice exercises. Three class hours. Offered in the Fall and Spring Semesters.
