MCC Intersession Offers Students 3 Credits in 3 Weeks (11/02/2009)

Registration open for Jan. 4-22 classes

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –November 2, 2009- Monroe Community College offers students who are home for the holiday break a chance to complete a full semester course in a short amount of time. Day and evening Intersession classes that run from Monday, Jan. 4 through Friday, Jan. 22 are available at MCC’s Brighton Campus and Damon City Campus. A selection of Intersession classes are also available online at www.monroecc.edu/go/intersession.

Intersession provides an opportunity to complete degree requirements, tackle a course that won’t fit into a regular schedule or reduce credit load during spring or fall semester. Last year, students from approximately 20 different colleges and universities took Intersession courses at MCC.

Courses in the following subject areas are scheduled for MCC’s upcoming Intersession: art, biology, computer science, economics, geography, geology, health, history, mathematics?, music, office technology, physical education, psychology, sociology and speech.

Intersession courses cover the same content, maintain the same academic standards and contain the same number of in-class instructional hours as courses scheduled during the traditional 15-week semester. Classes meet mornings, afternoons or evenings at the Brighton Campus, 1000 E. Henrietta Rd. and the Damon City Campus, 228 East Main Street, Rochester.

To register or for more information, call (585)292-2200 or visit www.monroecc.edu/go/intersession.
