No Tuition Increase in MCC Budget (06/18/2019)

Note: This is an ARCHIVED news release. Information in this article may have changed since this was published.

BRIGHTON, N.Y. – June 18, 2019 – Monroe Community College students will see no increase in tuition this fall, under the 2019-20 budget approved by the MCC Board of Trustees earlier this month.

The budget holds tuition steady at $4,380 for in-state students in the 2019-20 academic year, making MCC’s tuition the third lowest among State University of New York (SUNY) community colleges.

Students can lock in that tuition rate for two years if they participate in the MCC Guarantee program and meet its requirements related to academic performance and progress, family income and financial aid application. Qualifying students see no tuition increase if they complete their studies in two years. The MCC Guarantee provides students and their families with the ability to predict the cost of college and incentivizes students to complete their degrees in two years.

The MCC budget will be considered by the Monroe County Legislature in August.
