SPC 119 - Storytelling

Study of and practice in storytelling that will focus on stories appropriate for modern society. Storytelling is an art that requires the practice of craft-based techniques. Focus will be placed on story and character development, performance of a variety of stories, and evaluation of what makes a good story and its performance.

Course Learning Outcomes
1. Create a variety of storytelling performances from the planning stages through execution as per course assignments.
2. Demonstrate key elements of storytelling practice.
3. Apply elements of basic storytelling to performance of stories in front of an audience.
4. Create self-evaluations and peer evaluations.
