Monroe Community College is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, 3624 Market St., Philadelphia, PA 19104, (267) 284-5000. The Commission on Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation.
Curricula are registered and approved by the New York State Department of Education. The College is authorized to award the Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.) and Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degrees, as well as certificates, as established by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York. All curricula are approved by the New York State Department of Education for the training of veterans and other eligible persons under Public Law 634 (Children of Deceased Veterans), Public Law 894 (Disabled Veterans), Public Law 89-358 (Veterans Administration Readjustment Benefits of 1966) and Public Law 93-508 (Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Act of 1974).
