"The Governor’s proposal to connect performance-based funding with career-oriented programs at community colleges acknowledges the significant role community colleges play in developing local workforces. Coupled with our strong alignment with the Regional Economic Development Councils, this new model has the potential to significantly strengthen local economies via the engine that drives them all -- well-qualified and appropriately skilled workers.
