Note: This is an ARCHIVED news release. Information in this article may have changed since this was published.

studentsMonroe Community College offers students who are home for the holiday break a chance to complete a full semester course in a short amount of time. Day and evening Intersession classes that run from Thursday, Jan. 2 through Friday, Jan. 17 are available at MCC’s Brighton Campus. A selection of Intersession classes is also available online.

Intersession provides an opportunity to complete degree requirements, tackle a course that won’t fit into a regular schedule or reduce credit load during spring or fall semester. Last year, students from approximately 20 different colleges and universities took Intersession courses at MCC.

Courses in the following subject areas are scheduled for MCC’s upcoming Intersession: anthropology, art, applied automotive, business, computers, economics, fitness, geography, health, history, psychology, sociology and more. For a complete course listing, go to, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Class Schedule.

Intersession courses cover the same content, maintain the same academic standards and contain the same number of in-class instructional hours as courses scheduled during the traditional 15-week semester. Classes meet mornings, afternoons or evenings.
