Ad-Hoc Access Locations
To facilitate easy, quick, access to your
e-mail the College has provided a variety of ad-hoc access locations in
the various student gathering/lounge areas throughout the college.
The workstations at these locations are designed to be used to quickly
check your mail and respond to general day-to-day e-mail.
These workstations are not designed to be used for
completing class work or sending or receiving attachments. No word
processors, spreadsheets, or graphics software is provided.
Further, there is limited access to the internet (e-mail only).
All of these activities can be performed in the various college
learning centers and classrooms (see next section).
Learning Centers and Classrooms
You may also access the student e-mail
system in every networked academic learning center, lab, and
classroom. You can do so by clicking on the 'student e-mail' icon
or by simply launching the web browser of your choice (Internet Explorer
or Netscape) and visiting student.monroecc.edu.
These workstations have no restrictions in place. You have
full access to the Microsoft Office suite of business applications
(Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, etc.) and you can send/receive attachments
as well as browse the Internet. Class related student e-mail work
should take place in these learning centers.
Access from Home or Work
The MCC Student e-mail System can be
accessed anywhere in the entire world provided you have Internet
access. Simply get connected to the Internet, launch Internet
Explorer 4+ or Netscape 4+ and visit student.monroecc.edu.
