Welcome to the Monroe
Community College's student e-mail system. This system will allow you to
send and receive e-mail to other classmates, faculty, staff, as well as
any Internet e-mail address. There is no need to request or sign
up for an account. If you are registered in any MCC class, you
already have a student e-mail account!
Please be sure to read the
disclaimer and code of conduct notices located on this page!
If this is your first time
accessing the system you will need to perform the following steps:
- Determine your account name:
Your account name consists of your first initial, your last name (up
to 16 letters), and a three digit number. There are no spaces
or other characters. The three digits are to distinguish the
user names for common surnames. For example, John Doe's user
name is jdoe001. Please note that even small numbers such as
"1" have leading zeros (0) to fill out the three digit
account number requirement.
To find out what number you are, click on Find Account at the
top of this page to lookup
your exact account name.

- Determine your default password:
The initial password for your account is your birth date in an 8-digit format. For example, if your birthday is June 1,
1980, then your password is 06011980 (Please note that you need
to use a 4 digit year vs. a 2 digit year).
- Change your password for security purposes:
To change your password, click on the Change Password
button at the top of this page.

directions to logon as well as example pictures can be found on this
page.
Disclaimer
The student e-mail system consists of around 25,000 accounts, which are automatically
created and deleted based on student record information. There are no implied warranties or
guarantees regarding the security and/or reliability of the system. While every effort has been
made to maximize system uptime, reliability, and security, we can not guarantee it. Further, while
the student e-mail system is backed up, we will not restore individual e-mail accounts or messages.
The backups exist for disaster recovery purposes: in case the server or servers crash, we can restore
the entire system. Please keep your own backup copies of everything that is related to your class work
as well as anything else that is important to you.
