2007 WISE Workshops - General Information

Workshops for the Improvement of Science Education |

In 2007 Project WISE plans to offer several mini-workshops in August that will be 1 or 2 days in length. Workshops will occur at Monroe Community College's Brighton Campus. Workshops that will occur in 2007 are:
Physics - Measuring Large Forces Using the Vernier Force Plate
Physics - TIPERs : Tasks Inspired by Physics Education Research
Eath Sciences - A Walk in the Park: Geology of Monroe County Parks
Biology - General Biology Experiments Using Vernier Sensors
Lunch will be provided to participants on workshop days. In addition participants will be provided with equipment or supplies appropriate to each workshop or a stipend. Continuing Education Units (CEU's) and certificates will be awarded to participants and letters to your supervisor can be requested attesting to your participation in this professional development expereince.
