Reminder: Open Forums on Proposed Faculty Senate Bylaws Changes
This is a reminder that the Faculty Senate Nominations, Elections, and Governance (NEG) Committee will be holding Open Forum meetings to review and discuss with interested community members suggested changes to the following sections of the Faculty Senate Bylaws: Rationale; Articles I-IV.
Open forums are scheduled as follows:
* Tuesday, March 6, 2018 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Downtown Campus (Room DC-400)
* Wednesday, March 7, noon to 1:00pm at the Brighton Campus (Room 9-132)
The documents outlining the proposed changes can be found on the Faculty Senate Blackboard Organization under the Action Items module at the following link: Faculty Senate Blackboard Site (log in required).
A member of the NEG Committee will be available at both locations to answer questions starting at the start time listed above. The open forums will run only as long as is needed for questions to be answered, which may mean that one or both may not run the whole hour. Please make arrangements to arrive at the start of the forums if you are interested.
Those unable to attend may direct their questions, comments or concerns to Michael Heel (email@example.com) NEG Chair, via email.
A full faculty vote on this proposed amendment is expected later this month. More specific information to follow.
