The Alice Holloway Young Commons is made up of four residence halls: Pioneer Hall, Alexander Hall, Tribune Hall, and Canal Hall. They provide suite-style living for close to 800 students.

Living here, you can conveniently attend classes, take advantage of being near the learning centers and the library, and access comprehensive services outside the classroom. Co-curricular programs and activities, sporting events, and cultural performances held in the evenings and on weekends are just a quick walk across campus. A full residence life program completes the on-campus living experience, providing a community where you’ll experience a variety of new ideas and opportunities, and meet a mix of new friends.

Each suite is fully furnished and air-conditioned, with a full kitchen, living room, and individual bedrooms. Suites are either four-person (four singles or two double rooms) or five-person (2 doubles and 1 single) and approximately 1,100 total square feet in size.

The carpeted living room has a full couch, two chairs, coffee table, and two end tables. Bedrooms, which also have carpeting, include height-adjustable, extra-long twin beds, closet wardrobes, nightstands, and computer desks and chairs. Kitchens have a stove, dishwasher, microwave, pantry, and refrigerator. Each suite has two bathrooms and a storage closet. Air conditioning and heat are controlled within the units. All halls are secured, and provide smoke-free, substance-free living.
