Differences exist. They can create challenges or opportunities that may either invigorate or divide a classroom, an organization, a community, or a nation. In an increasingly diverse world, intercultural competency is a critical part of personal and professional development in every community and every sector of the economy. Learning to work effectively across differences and resolve cultural conflicts are critical educational outcomes related to productivity, service delivery, team building, and community development.
