SUMMARY:Human Rights Film Series at DCC: Call Me Kuchu
DESCRIPTION:\n The Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project will present a Human Rights Film Festival during the Spring 2013 semester. Call Me Kuchu is the story of activist David Kato working to repeal Uganda's homophobic laws and liberate his fellow lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender men and women, or "kuchus." But David's formidable task becomes more difficult when a new "Anti-Homosexuality Bill" proposes the death penalty for HIV-positive gay men and prison for anyone who fails to turn in a known homosexual. This film is co-sponsored by the MCC Pride Alliance and Jessica Wilkie of the English/Philosophy Department will lead a discussion after the film\n\n \n
