“Beyond Academics: Supporting Holistic Student Readiness” is the eighth event in our series of Essential Discussions: Conversations at Monroe Community College. The Essential Discussions series explores topics that are shaping the postsecondary agenda.
Explore non-academic barriers to student achievement and new ways to transform students into more confident learners and achievers. The event will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. in the Warshof Conference Center, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center (Monroe A & B). This presentation will also be video-streamed to MCC's Downtown Campus, High Falls A & B.
Keynote speakers include Jacquie Beaubien, Consultant for Project for Education Research the Scales (PERTS), Stanford University; and Kevin Li, Dean of Arts and Sciences, Triton College. Response panels comprising faculty and administrator perspectives from a variety of colleges and school districts will follow the morning and afternoon keynote presentations.
