One of the ways members of the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project take action to promote human rights is through the annual Walk for Water for South Sudan. Inspired by Water for South Sudan Founder and MCC Alumni Hall of Fame member Salva Dut (MCC Class of 2000), HGHRP members have raised nearly $60,000 to date to help provide clean drinking water to the people of South Sudan.
