This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Little Rock Crisis.

In 1957 nine African-American students were sent to Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. They were the first African-Americans to attend this all white school. The protests & resistance they faced is one of the seminal events of the Civil Rights Movement in America.

History Professor, Mark Sample, will tell the story of the people & the events surrounding this important part of American history.

The talk will be on Wednesday December 6 from Noon- 12:50 in room 5-100.

This event is opened to the MCC community and general public.
