Fall Community Ingathering
The Fall Community Ingathering will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017
from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m at the Downtown Campus in High Falls A.
This
event is directly linked to the College's diversity plan to increase the yield
and retention rates for students from diverse populations, specifically
those who identify as Black or African American. The Ingathering is
the first step toward supporting students academically, professionally, and
socially to later provide coaching and leadership development opportunities.
Our hope is to create a community of scholars who will be more
likely to successfully graduate from Monroe Community College. This initial
exposure to faculty and staff will assist in establishing networks of
support.
This event is invitation only and is geared towards first year students who
identify as Black or African American. Be sure to check your email this week
for additional details.
Sponsored by: Downtown Black Student Union, The African American
Affinity Group, Student Services at the Downtown Campus and Men of Excellence
Program.
