Updated Student Financial Aid Verification Requirements
Students and parents who are required to submit income verification to the
Financial Aid Office are now allowed to submit signed copies of their income
tax return (1040). Prior to this change announced today by Federal Student Aid,
students were required to get tax transcripts directly from the IRS.
This change applies to the 2018-19 school year (2016 tax return) and 2019-20
school year (2017 tax return).
This does not impact all students, only those notified by The Financial Aid
Office that they need to submit income information. Still in place is the
option for students and parents to utilize the IRS Data Retrieval system while
completing the FAFSA.
