Public Safety Promotions
The Department of Public Safety has recently promoted two of its Peace
Officers to serve permanently in supervisory roles. Officer Sam Hillmon has
been promoted to the title of Campus Peace Officer Supervisor (rank of
Lieutenant), assigned to the midnight shift (11:00 pm to 7:00 am). Sam began
his time with Public Safety as a student intern and has worked for the
Department since 2005, serving as both a Security Guard and a Peace Officer.
Sam holds an Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Monroe
Community College.
Officer Jeremy Giordano has been promoted to the title of Officer-in-Charge
(OIC, rank of Sergeant), also assigned to the midnight shift (11:00 pm to 7:00
am). Jeremy came to MCC from the Ginna Nuclear Facility in 2014 and has served
as a Peace Officer since then. Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Science from SUNY Geneseo and did attend Monroe Community College in 1994 as a
part of his degree program.
Please join us in congratulating both Sam and Jeremy on their promotions, if
you are lucky enough to see them in the daylight hours!
