A Film about the LGBT community and Politics
On Tuesday December 12 the History Film Series will show the film "Milk".
This is the true story of Harvey Milk- the first openly gay man to be elected
to public office in San Francisco in the 1970s. Sean Penn received his 2nd
Oscar for his portrayal of Milk. This is an excellent film that looks at the
LGBT community back then. But it is also very instructive about how the
political system works.
Please come to this modern classic about the inspiring, tragic, life of
Harvey Milk.
Professor of History, Mark Sample will introduce the film.
Tuesday December 12 at 6:30 in 12-229.
This film is free & open to the MCC community and the general
public.
