COM 211 - PRACTICUM I

Students enrolled in this course further their studies while enrolled at MCC in an art or graphic design project. Students have worked on further development of their portfolio, designing new work.

A former student worked on photographing and documentation of the famous Horses on Parade. "The Wall Project" and area installation on campus Others have worked off campus as a designer with Ice Productions a local design studio, working as Web Designer with Bullet Productions Others worked on a special project Monroe Design Gannett Newspaper. Some have worked in the Mercer Gallery getting hands on experience installing art exhibitions. Some have worked with the Henrietta School system and worked as a teacher's aid with computer classes for 3rd grade through 8th grade students.

My hope is that these practicum experiences will assure they have a meaningful "real world" experience and that these prospects will develop into paid positions.
