My Philosophy on the Community College
I believe that working in a community college is one of the most challenging
and exciting professions possible. The community college environment
recognizes that education is a vital and lifelong process that is never
static nor completely realized.
Community colleges should provide occupational programs in technical,
vocational and professional fields leading to an associate degree or
a certificate. We are also responsible for providing retraining and
upgrading of skills in these areas. I believe that we should offer programs
in continuing education for those who wish to improve their professional
skills, acquire new ones, or expand their fields of knowledge and general
interest.
