Q.
  Is there extra credit?
A.   No. If you are failing the course and are not able to keep up with the normal course work, it would not be wise to give you more work to do. However, if you are doing A work and you find that the course is not challanging, I would be happy to give you extra work to do.
Q.   Can I make up a missed Exam or Quiz? A.   No. See the Course Infromation Sheet. If you miss a test or quiz, that will be the test or quiz that will be dropped. One test and two quizzes can be dropped.
Q.   How do the quizzes count towards my final grade? A.   Your grade is calculated by adding up all of your points, tests, quizzes and labs (CHE151 and 152 only), dividing by the total number of possible points and multiplying by 100.
Q.   Is the fianl exam cumulative? A.   In CHE100 the final is not cumulative. In CHE152 the final is the National ACS Exam. It covers both CHE151 and CHE152. The test is a multiple choice exam. A review book is available for the exam.
Q.   Where can I get a chemistry tutor?
A.
  The
BEST WAY TO GET HELP
is to see me during my office hour or after lab. There is nothing magical
about having a tutor. You must do the work. The tutor can not do it for you.

Q.   If I did not get a take home quiz or lost mine, can I copy another student's quiz and hand it in? A.   No! Each quiz is unique and numbered. If duplicate numbers are handed in, the duplicate quizzes will not be graded. If you need a quiz, you must get one from me.
Q.   Do I have to do all of the assigned problems? A.   Only if you want to pass the course. The only way to pass the course and get a good grade is to do the course work. This includes doing ALL of the assigned problems. |
