Community Fridays for a Cause - November

The next “Community Fridays for a Cause” is Friday, November 2nd.

The Veterans Outreach Center will be the recipient of donations raised through the “Community Fridays for a Cause” program.

Most of us know someone who has served our country defending the freedoms that we enjoy every day.  The Veterans Outreach Center was founded locally in 1973 by returning Vietnam veterans and provides premier one-stop support services to veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces and their families.

Today’s the Veterans Outreach Center remains anchored in our community and offers a comprehensive portfolio of support services designed to meet the needs of veterans and their families. Veterans are assisted by accredited veterans benefit counselors, comprehensive employment and job training counselors, as well as education benefit counseling, housing and financial counseling and individual and family counseling.

The Center helps veterans to achieve their goals and realize their full potential. Through the generosity of our community, all of these services are provided free of charge.  Please be generous in your donations to the Veterans Outreach Center, showing our gratitude for their service to our country.

Don’t forget to wear school colors in a show of support for our MCC community and our veterans.

Donations will be collected in each department.  All checks should be made out to the Veterans Outreach Center.  Donation envelopes have been returned to your departments to be used again on November 2nd.  Please bring donation envelopes to Jodee Biller in the Controller’s Office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2nd.
