Mark Pastorella, director of alumni, annual and planned giving for the MCC Foundation, was one of three primary instructors at the “Building a Donor Base for Annual Gifts at Your Community College” conference sponsored by the League for Innovation in the Community College/Academic Impressions, Oct. 15-17, in Phoenix Arizona.
Pastorella presented sessions on “Reaching Alumni,” “Solicitation, Renewal and Upgrade,” and “Prioritizing Your Donor Base” to advancement colleagues representing colleges and foundations from Maine to Arizona. The sessions encouraged colleges to build relationships with alumni and use captured data wisely in order to maximize annual fund efforts.
