Loretta Chrzan-Williams Retirement

After 41 years of leadership and dedicated service to MCC, Loretta Chrzan-Williams, our favorite Director of Student Accounts, has announced her plans to retire on 15 February 2022.

Loretta started her career as a student aide in the Student Accounts Office in the same year that Ronald Reagan was sworn in as President and our full-time tuition rate was $900 per year. She progressed through various positions in the Student Accounts Office over the years and was promoted to Bursar (later renamed Director of Student Accounts) in 1996.

While Loretta has been a very valuable member of the MCC team for many years serving in various leadership roles on numerous college-wide committees as well as external organizations, what I have valued most about Loretta is her dedication to our students. Sure - collecting money from thousands of students and complying with all of our government regulations is quite difficult – but Loretta always made time to work with students one on one. Whether it was working on unique payment plans, assisting with financial aid, or simply answering general questions – her time spent providing individual attention to students not only increased retention but changed hundreds, if not thousands, of our student’s lives for the better!

At Loretta’s request we will not be having any pomp and circumstance to honor her before she retires, however, she does request those willing to do so make a donation to the MCC Foundation Owen Schwartz Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Please join me in congratulating Loretta on her retirement!
