COVID-19 Update: On-campus Vaccination Clinics

SUNY and MCC require all students who engage in person (e.g., classes, activities and services) to get vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an official exemption* by September 27. Free COVID-19 vaccination clinics are offered at the Downtown and Brighton campuses as follows:

  • The Monroe County COVID-19 Vaccine site is open daily from 2:00 to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 2:00 to 4:30 pm on Friday at the Downtown Campus. Visit Monroe County’s vaccine web site for more information and to schedule an appointment.
  • A vaccine clinic will be held 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21 at the Brighton Campus. Register online for an appointment. Walk-ins also welcomed.

Because Monroe County is a high COVID-19 transmission zone, MCC requires students, faculty, staff, and visitors—regardless of vaccination status—to wear masks inside college buildings until further notice.

MCC’s on-campus COVID-19 positivity rate is 0.19% (SUNY COVID-19 Case Tracker). Last week, three positive cases of COVID-19 were identified through campus administered testing. MCC has conducted more than 30,000 tests (pooled and rapid tests) to date. At this time:

  • 3 students are in mandatory quarantine off campus
  • 4 students are isolating off campus
  • 1 student is isolating on campus

Pooled Testing Session Today
Students, faculty and staff who are unvaccinated are required to test weekly for COVID-19. MCC offers a pooled testing session 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. today, September 14 in the Flynn Campus Center. (No appointment necessary.) Testing hours will continue until further notice as follows:

  • Mondays: 12:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesdays: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Updates will be posted to MCC's website.

*The deadline to apply for an exemption has passed.
