MCC Receives Federal Grant For Training and Education

On Wednesday, we learned that MCC has been awarded a $14.6 million Training and Education in Advanced Manufacturing (T.E.A.M.) Educational Pathways Project grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. This is great news for our workforce development efforts and brings our summer grant awards total to nearly $20 million.

This T.E.A.M. grant goes to the SUNY Statewide Community College Collaborative, which MCC is proud to lead. The collaborative will provide more than 3,000 of New York’s Trade Adjustment Assistance-eligible workers and unemployed veterans with the training and education required to find high-quality, high-wage jobs within the advanced manufacturing sector. This grant will help us develop innovative educational programming along career pathways so that individuals can find good jobs today and even better careers tomorrow.
