Passing of MCC Retiree Pamela Keyes

I am sad to inform the College community of the sudden passing of Pamela Keyes, retired assistant math professor. Pam began her MCC career as a part-time instructor in 1997. Four years later, she became a full-time faculty member. She contributed a great deal to the College -- as both a  dedicated team player and a compassionate leader. She enjoyed her teaching role, considered herself a life-long learner and was always energized by her students and her fellow faculty members.

Pam earned a Masters of Divinity degree from the Colgate Rochester Divinity School. She held a Masters of Science in Teaching/Mathematical Sciences from Binghamton University and a Bachelor of Science in Education/Mathematics from the University of Albany.

She is survived by two children, Melissa Hine and Chris (Kimberly) Hine; five grandchildren; brother Gordon Keyes; and two nieces. Services were held Monday, January 25. Donations in her memory can be made to the Mercy Spirituality Center, 65 Highland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14620.
