NYS Student Loan Information Sessions
The New York State Department of Financial Services will be hosting two virtual information sessions this month on student loans. These sessions are to assist NYS students who are considering taking out loans to finance their education, as well as those who will be going into repayment of their loans or are struggling to repay with their loans.
Financing a College Education
April 28, 2021, 7PM
This session will provide current or prospective students and their families with information about paying for school, including the differences between loans and grants and between federal loans and private loans.
Repaying Your Student Loans
April 29, 2021, 7PM
This session will focus on the various repayment plans and obligations for federal student loan borrowers, as well as private student loan repayment options, and will also address the ongoing federal relief for certain federal student loan borrowers.
