STEMtech 2016 Presenters

Please join me in acknowledging Alexis Vogt, associate professor in engineering technology; Mary Ellen Gleason, associate professor in ESOL/TRS; and Paul Conrow, science teacher at East High School, for their presentation at the STEMtech 2016 Conference.  This conference was sponsored by the League for Innovation in the Community College and took place on November 6-9 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Their presentation, “Creating a Complete Path:  Aligning the High School/College Curriculum to Create a Positive Transition to the Community College Optics Program,” explored how MCC’s optics and developmental education programs partnered with East High School to collaboratively develop a program of college readiness, particularly basic math skills, to create a seamless transition to the optics program.
