Mental Health First Aid Training: Intersession and Spring 2019 Dates!

The Counseling Center and Disability Services are excited offering Mental Health First Aid training to ALL MCC employees! The training will be led by Shannon Glasgow, MS, LMHC, from the MCC Counseling Center and Disability Services and Michael Johnson, MS Ed, NCC from the Student Engagement Center.

This 9-hour training program teaches participants to help others who are developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training helps participants to identify, understand, and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses. (https://www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org/cs/)

We will be offering the 8-hour training in a two day format. The dates are:

  • January 9th and 10th, 12pm-4:30pm, Brighton Campus, 9-239
  • February 20th and 21st, 9:30am-2pm, Downtown Campus, High Falls Room

Please email Shannon Glasgow at sglasgow@monroecc.edu to sign up.

If you are interested in participating but cannot attend at this time, please e-mail to indicate your interest. We'll keep your name on our list and we'll let you know when the training is being offered again.

Hope to see you there!
