Strategic Planning Leadership Team March Update

The 16-member Strategic Planning Leadership Team (SPLT), led by the two co-chairs, Jasna Bogdanovska and Valarie Avalone continued meeting every week in February and March. The SPLT have been working on various parts of the new strategic plan such as student, faculty and staff survey questions, MCC core values and mission.

The Project is now in Phase II - Portfolio Development and Planning Assumptions. This phase will last until April.

The consulting team from Collaborative Brain Trust (CBT) conducted “listening sessions” with over 50 external stakeholders, and approximately 150 internal stakeholders and student groups during the month of February.  The CBT team also hosted two all-college forums during College Hour on Monday 2/14 and Wednesday 2/16.

We have been conducting surveys of college employees and students.  Quantitative and qualitative data gathered during Phase I of the project has included internal and external scans, student and workforce data, and input from forums, surveys, and listening sessions. These data are being synthesized by CBT into a comprehensive Discovery Report, which will be provided to the SPLT on March 17th.

Information about the project and monthly updates are posted on the Planning Webpage.
