Who should schedule a room for me? Campus Events or Registration & Records?

Campus Events and Registration & Records is hoping to help clarify room scheduling on the Brighton campus. When in doubt please reach out to either Lyndsey Presutti (Records and Registration) via email at <mailto:lpresutti2@monroecc.edu> or Yolanda Johnson (Campus Events) at <mailto: yjohnson@monroecc.edu>.

For the ease of meeting your academic and non-academic needs, please refer to the list below on how to proceed that notes who to reach out to for your space needs:

What the R&R Office schedules (academically-related - all reservations should be related to a course/CRN):

  • Classes listed on the master schedule Requests to use a classroom for make-up exams, tutoring, review sessions or other academic pursuits (no food involved)
  • Requests to use a computer lab for a class outside of the assigned room
  • Requests to use a classroom for a class outside of the assigned room or a guest speaker (if you have additional external guests, or food, or special AV needs contact campus events)
  • Requests for a large room for testing
  • Requests to combine two classes for a special speaker or movie showing (no food involved)

What the Campus Events Office schedules:

  • Campus Speakers
  • All campus meetings
  • Study Halls
  • Club Meetings
  • Any class get together that involves food
  • Any get together that requires parking permits or signage
  • PARS, SOARS, IPARS
  • Student Registration Days
  • Anything considered non-academic usage
  • Theater and Athletic spaces outside of scheduled class use
  • Parking lots and green "space" for non-academic usage
  • Department Meetings
  • Student requests to use classroom space
  • Community events (Rentals)
