Please be aware that the voice messaging capability of our emergency communication system, NY Alert, has been restored. SUNY NY Alert informed us yesterday that all systems are working and we have successfully tested the system with the college’s test group.
A college-wide test, done once each semester, will be conducted in the coming weeks.
Please note: Text messages are delivered much more quickly than voice messages. This is simply a function of the different technologies. If you are one of the nearly 8,000 MCC individuals who are registered with SUNY NY Alert to receive voice messages only, you are encouraged to modify your preferences in order to receive emergency alerts via text messaging as well.
