Opening of New Residence Hall Attracts Attention

RNews Reporter Wendy Mills came to campus before daybreak yesterday, Feb. 7, for a live interview with MCC Housing and Residence Life Director Shelitha Dickerson and Resident Director/Operations Raymond Pearles. Mills asked about the overall success of the residence life program at MCC and was especially interested in Canal Hall, the newest addition to the Alice Holloway Young Commons.

MCC students Kathleen Breen and Francis Lyons, residents of Tribune Hall, were also kind enough to wake up early to be interviewed about their experiences living on campus.

Canal Hall will open in September 2007 and bring the total number of beds available on campus to 772. For more information about the Housing and Residence Life program, please visit
