Wellness Council and Hospitality present: Cooking with Kids, A hands-on virtual event

Looking for a way to break the quarantine cabin fever? Trying to get your young ones to try more healthy foods? Then join MCC Hospitality Management Department’s Chef Douglas in this family-friendly cooking class with simple healthy recipes that kids can prepare together with their adult (that’s you!)

Who?:      This event is open to MCC employees with their children aged 3-12 years old (maximum 3 children per adult)

What?:     The Menu includes: Hoisin Chicken Lettuce Wraps* / Red, White and Blue Parfaits (recipes are suitable for preparation by young children)

When?:    Thursday April 15, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Where?    Chef Douglas be leading you ‘Live’ via Zoom. You and your child(ren) will be cooking along from your home on Zoom.

How?         You’ll pick up your ingredient package at MCC curbside pickup. You will Zoom in for the Master Class from your own kitchen. Even though we are in different places, we can still cook together.

Sounds great, how much does it cost? This event and all ingredients are free of charge to the first 15 registrants, thanks to the Wellness Council! You supply the kitchen and minimal kitchen equipment.

*Allergy Alert: please note that this recipe contains peanuts.

Seating is limited to 15 adults with their children and is on a first come, first served basis, so sign up early.

Email Chef Douglas via Andrea Wolff at awolff@monroecc.edu for additional details and to register for the class.
