MCC alumna and filmmaker, Nicholle La Vann, is hosting a fundraiser to benefit her non-profit organization, Infinite Mindz. Infinite Mindz is a Rochester group dedicated to empowering individuals to tell their stories by using digital media and technology.
The fundraiser will feature a screening of two of La Vann’s recent documentaries, Homicidez, which focuses on violence in the Rochester community, and Solutionz, which centers on children of incarcerated parents, mainly in New York State.
When? Monday, January 17, 2011 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
Where? Boulder Coffee, 955 Genesee Street Rochester, NY
Time? 3:00-5:00pm
Donation? $5.00 for students and $20.00 for all others
If you cannot make the fundraiser but wish to support this important, transformative work, you can send your contribution in any amount to my office - #4215 Damon City Campus - and I will forward all monies to Infinite Mindz. Your generosity will be deeply appreciated.
Please see the attached fliers for more information and “power to the peaceful”!
