Karen Wells and Rachel Santiago, from the Mathematics Department, presented “It pays to be HIP!” at the New York State Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges on April 8, 2017, in Syracuse, NY. The presentation focused on how instructors can offer more (in)formal writing opportunities in their courses.
They have been accepted to present this same topic at the American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (the national association) in November 2017.
