Professional Development Opportunity: Mental Health First Aid for Faculty, Staff and Administrators

The Counseling Center and Services for Students with Disabilities are offering Mental Health First Aidt raining to MCC faculty, staff, and administrators. The training will be led by Shannon Glasgow, LMHC, from the MCC Counseling Center and Services for Students with Disabilities.

This 8-hour training program teaches participants to help others who are developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The training helps participants to identify, understand, and respond to signs of addictions and mental illnesses. (https://www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org/cs/)

We will be offering the 8-hour training in a two day format. The training will be offered on April 27th and May 4th from 12:30-4:30 in 9-239. Both sessions are required to complete the training.

Please email Shannon Glasgow at sglasgow@monroecc.edu to sign up.

If you are interested in participating but cannot attend at this time, please e-mail to indicate your interest. We'll keep your name on our list and we'll let you know when the training is being offered again.

Hope to see you there!
