The May 28 edition of the Brighton-Pittsford Post highlighted the Upward Bound program’s milestone: 10 years of helping area high school students earn their high school diplomas and ultimately complete college. The article interviewed program Director Carmelita Brown-Wallace, who has been with the program since its inception at MCC; program alumna (and MCC grad) Nicole “Nykki” McCawthan, who plans to pursue her doctoral degree in education in 2011; and Class of 2010 program graduates Derika Williams and Jamahn Nicholson.
