On Oct. 29, Dr. Jeffrey P. Bartkovich, vice president, Educational Technology Services, received the Executive of the Year Award for Government/Academia/Non-profit given by the eBusiness Association. Criteria for the annual award, which honors local eBusiness practitioners, is based on business or market impact, leadership, strategies, innovation, change agency, cost savings and/or return on investment.
In his nomination letter, MCC President R. Thomas Flynn wrote that Bartkovich is “an academic leader, a technology visionary and a model for those in the educational and business communities who wish to develop and implement an innovative, rigorous, comprehensive, learner-focused and cost-effective online learning program. The impact of his efforts in this area are widely felt by MCC’s and SUNY’s students, faculty and staff.”
