MCC's UAV team defeats Polish Air Force Academy, Purdue, Rutgers and McGill University

MCC's UAV team competed in the 2017 AUVSI SUAS international competition in Maryland. 54 different teams from different universities and from various countries competed. MCC's UAV team came ahead of Purdue, Rutgers, Polish Air Force Academy, and universities from Poland, Germany, Turkey, India, Romania, and Canada in the competition. 18th place overall was awarded to MCC and 12th in the mission objective portion.

The engineering science and physics department is very proud of their accomplishment. It is very impressive that the first community college to participate in a competition of this scale on the international stage has done so well on their first try. The engineering science and physics department has never participated in this level of challenge in the department history.

MCC UAV team members: Greyson Chudyk, Luke Petrison, Leith Kilmer, Joseph Corvelli, Neil Muir, William Gardner, Nandakumar Unnikrishnan and John Rodman.

We greatly acknowledge the MCC Foundation, Athletics, Campus Events, and the Student Association.
