TCC: Spotlight on Adjunct Suppers for Success

The Teaching and Creativity provides free professional development opportunities for faculty at every stage in their career.

As you may be aware, MCC employs a large number of adjunct faculty to teach classes. The TCC has an adjunct professional development committee, co-chaired by Linda Carson (MTH) and Mark Sample (AHPS), that drives the multiple programs designed to meet the needs of our adjunct's schedules. While all of our adjunct faculty are welcome to attend any TCC event, our daytime schedule often prohibits their participation. To provide another option for adjunct faculty, we offer are our Suppers for Success.

These workshops are held on the Brighton Campus three times per semester from 5 - 6:30 pm. Following dinner, MCC faculty and staff lead informative workshops. Recent topics have included: collaborative learning methods, getting your students to read the textbook, and working with students on the Autism Spectrum. Presenters anticipate that some participants may need to arrive late or leave early.

If you are interested in joining the adjunct committee to be a part of the planning, please contact Linda Carson or Mark Sample. If you are interested in attending an Adjunct Supper for Success, please register by following the link in the monthly Trib announcements or the email sent from your adjunct coordinator prior to each Supper.
