On Sept. 23, Bob Lasch, Applied Technologies, and Rosanna Condello, Public Affairs, won the MCC Toastmasters Club's first humorous speech and evaluation contests respectively. Kathy Baxter, Student Services-DCC; Karen Frantz, Student Support Services; and Joyce Medwin, Public Safety, also competed in the contests.
As a result, both Lasch and Condello will advance to represent the club at the Toastmasters International - Area 4 contests on Saturday, Oct. 4, 8:30 - noon, at the Theatre on the Ridge in Rochester.
If you would like to experience the challenge and fun of a Toastmasters meeting, please attend our next meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 4:30 p.m. in room 12-129 on the Brighton Campus. All meeting dates are posted on the MCC Web site's professional development calendar. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
