Community Fridays for a Cause - December


The next “Community Fridays for a Cause” is, Friday, December 2nd.  Dress casually and wear school colors!!

St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center will be the recipient of donations raised through the “Community Fridays for a Cause” program.

St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center is located on South Avenue in Rochester and provides comprehensive health care, counseling, adult education and social work to individuals and families who lack access to health insurance. Established in 1993 as a ministry of the Sisters of St. Joseph, the center is committed to raising the health status and quality of life of individuals and families.

The center is staffed with 22 full-time and part-time employees and over 250 volunteers, including over 80 health care professionals and 25 counselors and social workers, who log in more than 850 hours per month to keep the center in full operation.  The Center provides health care, dental care, mental health care, social services advocacy, legal and financial counseling and literacy and GED training, serving approximately 3,500 individuals (22,000 visits) per year from Rochester and the surrounding counties. Any uninsured or underinsured individual is welcome.

Please be generous in your donations to St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center as their work is critical to the health of the uninsured and underinsured people in our community. 

Donations will be collected in each department.  All checks should be made out to the St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center.  Donation envelopes have been returned to the departments to be used again on December 2nd.   Please bring donation envelopes to Jodee Biller in the Controller’s Office no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, December 2nd.
